Guidelines for UK Customers, following the implementation of the EU-UK Trade & Cooperation Agreement (TCA)

We have put together the following customer action points that need to be put in place to help ensure transactions are processed smoothly and to aid the avoidance of delivery disruptions at customs.

    1. Please ensure a valid e-mail address & contact number are provided to Bicon Europe Limited. This ensures any relevant correspondence regarding customs delays is communicated immediately by DHL. Please provide or update these details by emailing ireland@bicon.com

    2. A GB EORI  number will be required for GB Imports & Exports from 1/1/2021. (See attached explanatory note). Apply here.

    3. Postponed VAT Accounting(PVA) will be introduced in GB FROM 1st January, 2021, for Imports valued at more than £135. This allows registered UK Businesses to declare and recover Import VAT on the same VAT return, rather than having to pay it upfront and recover it later. ( See attached explanatory note).

    4. Opening a *deferment account, allows you to postpone the payment of import duties & VAT on goods imported. ( See attached explanatory note for application details)

*We strongly recommend you liaise with your accountant prior to the setting up of your PVA and deferment account.
